@guy1067 Really glad you like the idea of #swapshop (obviously!).

LOVE the idea of swapping books. I think to make it affordable you should swap more than 1 book at once, what do you reckon?

I really like the idea of a swapshop, and obviously you can utilise the infrastructure that's already in place via sendsocial. It made me think about swapping books as well. People upload names of books they are happy to swap into a 'swaplibrary' and you 'swap' it for others. Obviously there's a cost involved each time, but perhaps some kind of affordable model could be created. All the arguments against it above - trust, other dedicated sites that already do it, don't really stand up for me. There's lots of examples of sites out there that offer the same or similar things. People go with what they feel an affinity with. Love the idea of sendsocial and I'll be using it soon.

@Leona I agree, it is a 'bit' flawed. It relies on trust which is hard to come by however I would use my judgement before doing a swap by looking at their profile etc ... ebay is better if you want cash but this is more fun I think, plus ebay takes a cut whereas the #swapshop doesn't.

The other thing about ebay is the buyer has to give the seller their physical address, whereas SendSocial doesn't.

Above all, #swapshop it will bring virtual friends/contacts/followers closer together I think.

I liked the original sendsocial idea. However, I consider this new one
a bit flawed. There are already dedicated websites that make swapping stuff fun, sendsocial would just over complicate it. A second more common option, is to just sell it on eBay.

@Al thanks for sharing, cool if you're after a new iPod. I have an iPhone and have no need for an iPod anymore. BUT I am willing to swap it for something, do you have anything to swap?
